We’re having a contest! We want to create a #Hashtag to accompany all of our posts. A slogan if you will. Something that says who we are in a few powerful words. Something catchy. Something specific to our club. Something that we will include in all postings and when we talk about our club to others.

Starting now until August 24 we are requesting hashtag ideas for our club. All submissions will be voted on by Membership/PR team members and then the top three will be sent out for all club members to vote on. Submit your hashtag ideas to Jennifer Reed

From giving back to the community, to new friendships, to teamwork, to travel and new experiences, to friendship and support in our golden years, and service service service… these are just some of the ways that being part of Rotary is important to each of us.

But how do we share this with others who aren’t yet part of the Rotary family? How do we get others excited the way we are about our club and the difference we are making in our community and the world? How do we attract new members that will be committed and passionate about the work the way that we are? Part of the way is related to branding. Members of our community need to know who we are. We need to portray a consistent message and image of who we are and the work that we do. The membership committee, together with the PR/Marketing team is talking about ways to strengthen our branding and better share our stories of impact and success. We all agree that we need to increase our social media presence whether it be Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or our website.

This is where you come in. The membership and PR crew have many great ideas but we want to involve the whole club in creating our new hashtag. That is why we’re having this contest! From now until August 24 we are requesting hashtag ideas for our club. All submissions will be voted on by Membership/PR team members and then the top three will be sent out for all club members to vote on. The winner gets a special prize and the RECOGNITION for your great idea. You’ll see it on ALL online posts going forward. Exciting right? Please get your creative juices flowing and submit your hashtag ideas to Jennifer Reed before August 24th.
