Message from our President, Amy Neuman:

Happy Tuesday!

Tomorrow we have the pleasure of having Erika from Kidpower presenting to us.  Sharing Kidpower resources and information with service club members, who are so connected within their communities, is one of the ways they further their mission of making safety information as widely available as possible.

See you all tomorrow!

New Shoes for School Drive

We are supporting Lee Thomas & GrilleeQ in collecting donations and new shoes for the New Shoes for School Drive. This is San Leandro Rotary's 4th year (Lee's been doing it for 6 years) and normally we have it at the Little Brown Church. Due to COVID, we've changed the format of the event. In exchange for $20 donation or a brand new pair of shoes, you will be fed by Master Chef Lee Thomas from GrilleeQ! The first thing we need you to do is RVSP.

You can RSVP two ways:

  1. buy a ticket on EVENTBRITE and donate $20 now, OR
  2. send an email to newshoesforschooldrive@gmail.com to donate $20 or a new pair of shoes
Due to social distancing guidelines, we are picking up shoe donations and delivering a tasty BBQ treat.

Once you RSVP, you will receive an email with details.

The 6th Annual New Shoes for School Drive collection dates are June 5 to August 6

Webinar: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Rotary: Wednesday, July 15, 8 am-9 pm

The COVID-19 pandemic and anti-racism solidarity demonstrations are calling out global inequities
and the need for social justice. It is even more important that Rotary be an organization inclusive of all cultures, experiences, and identities. This breakout session provides an opportunity to hear from Rotarians at the forefront of change, learn about Rotary’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) progress, and be equipped with tools to create a more diverse, inclusive, and equitable organization.
