2021 Community Grant Recipient - E Bay Agency for Children relieves children/families in trauma

Allison Delgado, Director of Family Resource Services

Allison Delgado serves as Director of Family Resource Services at East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC). She has 20 years of experience working in family support programs in Alameda County that focus on reducing the impact of trauma and social inequities. As Director, she oversees the design, operation and evaluation of EBAC's 5 Family Resource Centers, Grief & Loss, Frick Health & Wellness Center, and Family Education program.

While overseeing family resource center program development between EBAC, school districts and Alameda County, she has grown health insurance and food access programs capacity within school districts, supporting the growth of parent leadership, and led the development of new programming for centers to meet family need.

Ms. Delgado is a Social Worker and deeply inspired by the power of parents, as well as passionate about empowering families to build upon their strengths.

Ly Ha, Program Coordinator, SLUSD Family Resource Center

Ly Ha serves as the Program Coordinator of the San Leandro Family Resource Center, one of many programs of East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC). She has been with EBAC for 6 years. She is bilingual in English and Vietnamese. For the time she has been there she has established a successful program that serves the San Leandro students, families and the community. The program connects families to vital public benefits and safety net services to promote their health and well being.

Along with public benefits enrollment and case management services, she managed a successful mobile food pantry that served over 200 families monthly. She also provided workshops with topics about nutrition, healthy eating habits, cooking recipes, parenting, money management, etc. to promote health and wellness.

Ly Ha is passionate about building connections with families and the community. She has realized that people are more resilient and powerful when treated with respect and dignity as well as when given the resources and tools for self sufficiency. She enjoys helping people, giving them her support and dedication. “ Seeing them happy brings a smile to her heart”.
